I need help to open word documents?

I have word 2003 and 2007 in my computer and started finding difficulty opening documents which ends with ( .doc ), and then I tried to do something about it but found all my documents have this ending (.doc) and can't be opened. Please help me with step by step how to open these documents and how to bring my documents back to what they were.

Try highlighting the doc listed that you want to open. Under file go to 'open with' and select your preferred Word version. Or try another processing program you may have. Also try opening your Word program and go to Open and select what you want to open. Often methods aside from the most common can work around these problems.

A text document should always end in .doc if it is created on or for Microsoft Word. If it is created using some other soft ware and not saved as a .doc then Word will not be able to find or open it.

Un-install the WORD 2003 application.

There is NO reason to have both.
