Mice usually have a life span of 2-4 years before they need to be replaced. If you have a spare mouse, hook it up to your computer and see if the same problem happens. If not, it's time for a new mouse. You can pick one up at any electronics store from $10 and up. You can also try uninstalling the Norton program you just put in and see if the problem goes away.

Sounds like you're highlighting your screen...
Left click anywhere on the screen and the blue should go away.
