If you have a scanner like the HP G3010, you can scan your slides in full color. Usually all scanners have a Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA).

That is needed to get quality scans. Make sure that you select slides from the scanner option.

if your flatbed scanner has that characteristic or ability, then sure. in the different case, putting the slide on the tray will likely no longer artwork. Scanners that could want to do this are often equipped with a detachable panel on the flatbed or a white backdrop truly than the black. they are going to usually have a plastic tray that you'll be able to insert 3 or more suitable slides at a time to be scanned. The characteristic on the appliance offered with the scanner also ought to get replaced from reflective to clear so as that it really is conscious you're making use of movie or a slide, truly than a image or different conventional web page.

There are special scanners for this. They are called FILM scanners and they are designed to scan negatives and slides.

Some regular flatbed scanners have special attachments for scanning negatives and slides. Check the website of the manufacturer of your scanner to see if such an attachment is available for your scanner, but keep in mind that the quality is MUCH better with dedicated film scanners.

There's another way to do it. Take your slides to a place like Costco or Walmart or a camera store. They can scan your slides for you and put the files on CD.

you need a scanner with a negative attachment.

I have an inexpensive Microtek Scanmaker S400 with a Microtek Lightlid35plus and it works great! It also has a plug-in for Photoshop and that works great too.
