If your printer has a scanner, how do you copy documents(text) onto Microsoft Office Word 2007, as a readable document and not as a photo image?

This next question asks what do you do when Microsoft Office Word can not convert your scanned document photo into a text document, and when you right click to copy, it say its already been copied. So when you go to Microsoft word to put it there, another window pops up and says if you copy this photo document, It will not be able to be read?.........When I right click these photos under MY PICTURES, theres no option to Copy,or Select All when I RIGHT CLICK on the scanned image.

If these photo images are already copied, how come when I go to CONTROL PANEL click OPEN, to open them, the documents available under MY PICTURES are all there Claiming to be already copied.....

I go to Microsoft Word to and click the same OPEN, and then MY PICTURES, and none of the pictures can be found?

Is there another option for me?

Basic scanning software will take a picture, that is true, However what you seek to do is create a text document out of your scanned document. What you will need is a software package with "Optical Character Recognition" and that will give you what you want. Many exist and the better/ more you pay for it usually the better the quality of the product.

I use OmniPage which works well for me.

I Hope this Helps!

No. something digital may be a faux (and so can a photocopy). So if the checklist's considerable as information of something, you should shop the unique, notwithstanding it is a sturdy thought to returned it up with an digital replica. i've got had undesirable reviews with digital storage besides. the two my pc and my pc not trouble-free drives crashed interior the comparable week; and floppies, CD's etc without postpone replace into previous technologies and might additionally get corrupted. Barring termites, floods and fireplace etc, paper records rather stay to tell the story longer. Museums have a lot that are one thousand years previous. uk tax government can ask you for information of your affairs going returned 6 years. they could probably settle for scanned economic corporation statements - I run one in all my economic corporation money owed on line besides and have no paper for it in any respect - yet rather you're able to must be extraordinarily dedicated, to verify each and every thing despite if it is available in as paper! does not or not it is easier just to drop it in a record and chuck it out finally?

um your scanner takes a picture of the document

it will always be an image

if you had the document on a floppy disk or flash drive, you could read it into Word

You would not expect microsoft to turn a polaroid into a text file. Your scanner takes 'polaroids' of documents. They will always be images.
