I think my computer is infected... no, i know my computer is infected. Does anyone know a great Virus scanning system that works and is cheap to free. I want one that also gives u the option to get rid of those things with the scanning program. Thanks

Here is an article that i read a few days ago concerning free security it has recommendations based in professionals reviews.

For a better scan restart your computer in safe mode( if you don't know how click this link http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.s...

then when windows start scan your computer and heal all the infected files, also try an antispyware.

For your anti-virus needs, I would suggest Avira AntiVirĀ® PersonalEdition Classic. It has excellent heuristics, a virus detection rate that is better than most "paid-for" anti-virus programs and is light on using your computer's resources. Uses less then 10 MB RAM on my machine. And did I mention that it's free!

Download here:

BTW, Avoid the free version of an anti-virus called AVG, it is wildly popular with noobs, the naive, the computer illiterate, and children, but it has horrible virus detection capibilities.

Enjoy!
