Installing Windows 8?

I've recently installed the Windows 8 version on my computer. As I am aware that the full version of 8 is not completely out yet, I am having issues with my Norton 360 telling me under the operating system diagnostic report that I need the latest service pack (Security and Performance Patches) which I cannot seem to find, or know how to. Anyone with "smarts" know how?

Norton and many other programs are not ready to function on the consumer windows 8 preview release. Once the full operating system is released, there will be compatibility packs avaible.

You could suspend Norton for the time being and use Microsoft Security Essentials for now. You'll have to disable it in Services and Task Manager though. And, yes, you do need internet security, Windows 8 Release Preview is fully live!

customers with a current subscription for Norton security protection will receive product compatibility updates for the latest version of Windows when and if they become available. Customers with current product subscriptions also receive continual protection updates to help ensure the most comprehensive security available against new and evolving online threats.

so should hit update on your program if compatibility updates are there . got to be 360 6.0 will not work

for anyone Norton Internet Security 2012. does work with Windows 8 Beta

Since its not completely out there is no way the company that makes norton could have made it function with windows 8.

Norton is shitty AV anyway.

You don't need any security because it is a preview version.

You are not meant to use it as a proper operating system - just as a test system - therefore security is not an issue.

The backup command doesn't work either for the same reason.
