Hello, I have tons of articles used for my work in the past that I want to scan and save electronically to reduce paper clutter at home. If I buy a scanner and scan documents with multiple pages, can I save each article (multiple pages=multiple scanned parts) as one document that I can scroll through and read later? If that is not possible, this idea would not work.

Also, what is a good scanner for this purpose that can save documents into PDF? I read in some scanner reviews that some scanners scaned photos well, but not black and white documents with tiny prints. I'm looking for under 100 dollars. Is this possible? Thank you!

I do everything you want using OpenOffice Writer. I drag a scanned page to Writer and then insert a new page. Then I do the next page. I continue until all the documents are images on separate pages. I'm sure that any word processing program can do that but OpenOffice also allows you to save the file as a PDF.

I have an HP laserjet 3020, and it has a feeder for a small number of pages. Then, when it is finished, it always asked me if I have more, and all I do is put more pages in and click on "yes."

A little time comsuming, but it gets the job done.

It does a good job scanning to PDF (IMO),

hi Crystal, not all of scanners have test to pdf function. verify your scanner if it have the function. while you're utilising a multifunction printer to test, it in all probability purely permitting test to jpg so as that each checklist stored as a million document. wish it help
