Looking for XP compatable driver and software for Compac S200 Flatbed Scanner, It used to work.?

Question

Have tried install disc in several ways and have downloaded the driver and soft-ware from the HP website.Have even tried the generic Windows harddrive driver download.

If your scanner is an old model, there may be no driver available for XP. Most of the manufacturers did not upgrade all their old drivers to work in XP. HP/Compaq just created a "generic" scanner driver for XP. It doesn't work for all older models. Or it provides only very basic functionality, like for my old HP 4100. Check the HP/Compaq website for the list of XP supported models.

U go to compaq site and select download option and serch your driver and software then u can download your driver
