Actually you want to have 2 resumes. One for e-mailing purposes. When they are sent via e-mail the place of business usually scans the resumes and the ones that the machine kicks out usually have key words. I just had a class that taught us this information. If you like you can e-mail me and I will send you the information that was in the class.

If you have:
1-An OCR(Optical Character Recognition)supported scanner.
2-An OCR software(E.g Microsoft document scanning included in Office pack)
3-Your typed resume is in:English(the best result) or another language which it's letters are like English.
Then you can scan your document and have it like a typed one in your word processing application such as MS office Word, edit it and even publish it online in TEXT format.

Sure you can do that, but when you want to change your CV you will not be able to 'edit the picture'. So, Scan and Textbridge your CV using O.C.R. (Optical Character Recognition) software, export to 'Word', and you now have your CV as a 'Word' document that you can edit.My E-Mail is on my profile...call if you need.
