Whether you've worked hard to create a large illustration or you simply have a beloved picture you want to print out, it's always disheartening to find out it may be too big to print. By changing a few settings in Adobe Illustrator, you can manage to make a large picture print over multiple pages. The whole process takes a few moments and will leave you with your desired results.
Instructions:

Open your picture in Adobe Illustrator.

Navigate to "File," then "Print" in the Illustrator file menu.

Select the "Setup" option from the left toolbar.

Choose "Tile Imageable Areas" in the tiling drop-down menu.

Choose a degree of overlap to be on the safe side. One-half to three-quarters of an inch is usually a safe bet.

Select "Print" to print your selection.

Cut and tape your image together using your scissors and tape.

2. Instructions:(using WINDOWS OS)
1. Open the image you’d like to print in Paint
2. Select: Print -> Page Setup (Vista and 7), or File -> Page Setup (in XP)
3. Under Scaling, select Fit to and change the setting to something like “2 by 2 page(s)”
Click OK
4. Print the image from Paint, and make sure to select “All Pages”
